Dr. Johnson has been in private practice since 1985, after graduating valedictorian-summa cum laude from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles, CA.
His practice is a "family practice".
He was a professor at Cleveland Chiropractic College- Los Angeles for 25 years and Southern California Health Sciences for 9 years, teaching spinal biomechanics, physiotherapy, neuromusculoskeletal case management, pediatrics, and physical diagnosis. Dr. Johnson was also appointed as one of only four professors to teach chiropractic in Tokyo, Japan, at the Japan Chiropractic Doctors' College, through CCCLA. Dr. Johnson is a former professor at the Southern California University of Health Sciences. Dr. Johnson is currently a substitute teacher in science subjects within the Whittier Union High School District.
Dr. Johnson also is involved and serves his community as the Charter Organization Representative (with Anaheim Chiropractic Health Care serving as the Charter Organization) for both Boy Scout Troop 75 and Cub Scout Pack 75, both in Long Beach, CA. He served as Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 75 and Cubmaster of Pack 75, and is currently the Youth Protection Trainer for the Long Beach Area Council of Boy Scouts of America. He also lobbies annually on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. and at our state's Capitol in Sacramento, CA, for chiropractic bills and patient rights.
He is a member of both the California Chiropractic Association and the American Chiropractic Association.
He has served as a test committee member for the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners for Parts II, III, and IV, in Greeley, CO. He also holds a Fellow (specialist) of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.
Dr. Johnson was a former Head Coach for the Pacific Lutheran High School Varsity Baseball Team in Torrance, CA.
